Apple Teacher Program

Are you a faculty member or a College of Education student who is interested in acquiring more skills and knowledge as an educator? Do you want to showcase your aptitude and receive recognition for your accomplished learning? If so, then the Apple Teacher Program is just for you! Apple Teacher is a free professional learning program designed to support and celebrate educators using Apple products for teaching and learning. As an Educator you can build skills on iPad and Mac that directly apply to activities with your students, earn recognition for the new things you learn, and be rewarded for the great work you do every day.


Badging Tracks

There are three badging tracks available for Apple Teacher:

  1. iPad
  2. Mac
  3. Swift Playgrounds*

*This will only be made available after you complete either the iPad or Mac badging track


Each track has a number of badges within it. Collect all of the badges within a track and you will receive an official Apple Teacher logo that you can share with the world!


*Special Note: Apple offers Apple Teacher material and courseware within their site, which we highly recommend as your primary resource reference. However, for additional learning and preparation, we have included supplemental material under the Resources section of this Apple page.

Number 2 Circle Pick a Badging Track

iPad

iPad Apple Badge IconThe iPad badging track will allow you to earn badges and demonstrate your understanding of how to use the following features on an iPad:

      • iPad
      • Pages
      • Keynote
      • Numbers
      • iMovie
      • GarageBand
      • Productivity
      • Creativity

Mac

Mac Apple Badge IconThe Mac badging track will allow you to earn badges and demonstrate your understanding of how to use the following features on a Mac:

Swift Playgrounds

Swift Playgrounds Apple Badge IconAfter completing either the iPad or Mac badging track(s) and becoming an Apple Teacher, you will then have access to learn and get additional badges for Swift Playgrounds. Swift Playgrounds is a free app for first-time coders who are interested in learning about coding concepts and building their coding skills. Offerings include:

      • Swift Playgrounds App
      • Coding Concepts
      • Swift Code
      • Coding in the Classroom

Number 4 Circle Icon  Take Test:


The Apple Teacher badges listed above each have quizzes built in at the end of their qualifying badge section. Make sure that you pass the quizzes with a minimum passing rate of 80%.

 

Number 5 Circle  Claim Your Apple Teacher Logo


Congratulations on earning your Apple Teacher logo! You will receive an e-mail confirmation from Apple with instructions to claim your Apple Teacher logo. You can also access your earned logo by logging into your Apple Teacher account.


Please note that the Apple Teacher logo does not have metadata within it and that you will need to abide by Apple's signature guidelines.
